    Determine Your Budget

The price of a monitor is definitely an important factor in determining what Iracing triple screen setup you will choose.

While there are plenty of options out there, the cheapest monitors that offer a wide enough field-of-view to compete with other screens on the market can cost anywhere from $100-$200 for one 1080p monitor, and the price goes up if you decide to go with 1440p or even 4k. Price goes even further up if you decide to go with a refresh rate above 60hz.

Being realistic about your budget and what you expect to get is very important because all 3 monitors need to be the same size, same resolution & same refresh rate for the most immersive experience.

    Monitor Resolution

The first thing you need to do before choosing your monitor is to determine what resolution you would like each of your screens to be.

Most monitors today come standard at either 1080p or 1440p resolutions; however, many gamers opt for going higher than these two and straight to 4k Resolution. Either one of the 3 options is fine and obviously, higher Resolution, better color & image quality, however, the price also skyrockets.

    Our Opinion:

We recommend either going with 1080p 144Hz for a competitive edge or straight to 4K 60Hz for the best image & color quality & skip 1440p entirely, however, that’s just our suggestion, it’s up to you.

    Monitor Size

The next step to choosing the right screen for you is to determine what size you would like.

For most gamers, 27-inch screens are perfect for their gaming needs; however, many prefer larger screens because they offer a more immersive experience, however, the bigger the screen, the more you’ll pay.

We recommend going all the way up to 32′ inch screens, however, we usually suggest sticking with 27 inches as we feel like it’s a perfect size.

    Refresh Rate

Another important thing to consider when picking monitors is the refresh rate.

The higher your screen’s refresh rate, the smoother and more fluid motion will appear on the screen.

For most, this means that 120Hz or 144Hz at least should be considered as these are still relatively affordable options for gaming monitors today. There’s an even higher option than these two and straight to 240Hz, however, you’re unlikely to be able to reach 240 FPS in Iracing in all 3 screens so we would suggest against getting a 240Hz screen.

If you want to get a competitive edge over your opponents then a 144Hz monitor would be perfect for you, however, those can only be found in 1080p or 1440p screens as they aren’t yet available in 4k monitors (from what I’ve seen so far but might be wrong).

What are the hardware requirements to run this setup?

Running this setup is quite demanding on your GPU so it really depends but we honestly would suggest either an RTX 3090, RTX 3080, or at least an RTX 3070. Anything less than that and your immersive experience will be affected by lag and lack of smoothness while controlling the car due to lack of FPS.
