Difference between Intel “K” Model Processors and “KS” Model Processors
The “K” Models are designed to be more efficient in terms of power consumption and provide already decent speeds & decent overclock boosts. The “KS” Model Processors can provide better base clock speeds for a faster system when overclocked, but it is also less power-efficient than the other models in its series (which would make sense- these CPUs have higher TDPs).
The base speed of the KS model is 200Ghz higher and so is its Turbo speed. Conversely, you can also get a higher overclock boost.
Should you overclock your Unlocked “KS” model CPU?
In our opinion, you should. You got such a powerful Unlocked CPU, no reason not to overclock.
